Bigfoot Bike Club family rides

Bigfoot Go-Ride is the ‘junior branch’ of Bigfoot Bike Club, a local bike club which takes its name from Bigfoot Bikes, our local bike shop in Hayes Village.

A family rideBigfoot Bike Club runs regular road and off-road rides for all abilities, including family rides to allow riders to bring along their kids in a safe environment. These Bigfoot Bike Club family rides are an ideal way for you to enjoy cycling with your child, and provide a great opportunity to help them further develop their riding skills.

Details of forthcoming family rides are listed below.

SATURDAY 9 APRIL

THE ROUGH BEAR RIDE

What: Level 1 Ride and Family Ride, two local rides in one!

Level 1 Ride option – mainly off road, 14 miles, including hills, to the White Bear Pub, Fickleshole; stopping at the White Bear for drinks and snacks. Suitable for those up to the challenge, suggest over 10s only, no upper age limit! Family Ride option – mainly off road, 3 miles, going as far as Keston Ponds and hopefully the ice cream van!

Ride will keep together as one group, then split into two groups if some are on the shorter Family Ride. Map provided for those returning on the shorter route.

Meet: Meet at the Bigfoot Bike shop 50 Hayes Street, Bromley, Kent, BR2 7LD (www.bigfootbikes.com) at 10.00am for 10.15am start. Returning around 2.00 to 2.30 (if on longer ride)

Bring: Helmet, spare inner tube, drink, snacks and some money if you want drink and crisps at the pub, or ice cream at the van.

Who can attend / insurance etc: This ride is being organised by Bigfoot Cycle Club and is open both to members of the club and to non-members, and is free (apart from parking cost and any bike hire you need). Non-members will not be covered by Bigfoot CC insurance and you participate entirely at your own risk – we recommend that you take out your own insurance. More Information: If you have any questions or would like a route map please email adam@bigfootbikeclub.org . If you can email to say you are coming, that would help us have an idea of numbers, but everyone is welcome whether sending an email or not.

Leader: Adam will lead both rides at the start, he will then keep with the longer Level 1 Ride.
